Guest members: split expenses with friends who don't want an account
- Add a "guest" to a group for someone who doesn't want to sign up, like a friend who's only around for one trip. It's tucked behind a discreet "Invite guest" option at the bottom of the member list, which explains what a guest is before you add one.
- Guests show a Guest badge and appear in expenses and balances just like any other member. Each one gets a personal claim link — if they ever create a real account, opening that link moves their expense history and balances over to it.
- Removing a member now explains the consequences before you confirm: their expense history stays in the group, but any balance they still owe or are owed can no longer be settled afterward.
- Added tooltips to icon-only buttons throughout group settings — copying or regenerating the invite link, copying a guest's claim link, and removing a member — so it's clearer what each one does.
- Your groups list now loads with far fewer database round-trips when you belong to several groups, and hovering the Stats tab in a group preloads it so it opens instantly instead of showing a loading skeleton.

Interactive features showcase and landing page polish
- The static "How It Works" section is now an auto-cycling showcase of Expenses, Balances, Stats, and Currencies, each with a realistic preview of what it looks like in the app.
- The header now stays visible while scrolling instead of disappearing for logged-out visitors, and the italic "Kvitt" tooltip responds to hover again.
- Empty states, the theme toggle, and the split controls in the add-expense dialog now animate in and out, and landing page motion now respects your reduced-motion setting.
- Fixed a grammar bug where the balance offset label (e.g. "Offset (Anna owes back)") could read "you owes back" when you were the one owing money back.

More motion throughout the app
- Expenses fade in and out as they're added or removed from the list, and switching one between view and edit mode now crossfades instead of jumping.
- Split-type sections, split validation messages, settled balances, and the stats tab now animate in and out instead of appearing abruptly.

Smoother recovery from cold starts on the home screen app
Kvitt installed to your phone's home screen now shows the same animated "Connecting…" screen you'd see in the browser when the backend is waking up, instead of the phone's generic "couldn't load" error, and retries automatically.

Deeper stats: full history, one-time expenses, and locale-aware numbers
- Monthly spending now shows a group's entire history with a year filter and a per-month average, instead of just the last 5 months.
- Top expenses now only include one-time costs, not recurring ones like subscriptions, and show the expense date.
- Numbers throughout stats, expenses, and balances are now formatted for your language, e.g. with the right thousands separator.
- The category breakdown chart is easier to read with capped shading and separators between slices.
- Stat cards now show this month's expense count and total directly, instead of a percentage comparison to last month.

Hide groups, faster group pages, and new expense categories
- Members can now hide a group, like a finished trip, from their own groups list without affecting other members. Hidden groups stay reachable and show a badge if new expenses or settlements are added while hidden.
- Groups with hundreds of expenses now load in a fraction of a second instead of tens of seconds, thanks to smarter currency-rate lookups and a lazily-loaded stats tab.
- Added Plants, Fuel, and Parking as expense categories, plus an explicit "Uncategorized" option in the category filter instead of lumping those expenses under "Other".

Smoother reconnects after idle
When the database is waking up from being idle, Kvitt now shows an animated connecting screen and automatically retries instead of immediately showing an error.

Unified balances and a tidier mobile view
- Balances across different currencies are now merged into a single amount in the group's currency, instead of showing separate per-currency debts.
- Expense breakdowns and the "Mark as settled" button on the balance tab are now tucked behind a collapsible chevron for a cleaner mobile layout.
- Stats cards now round currency values, tidy up the layout, and hide the expense count badge when it's not useful.

Smarter debt netting and currency-aware stats
- When two people owe each other, Kvitt now nets the debts down to a single amount, with a line showing what was offset.
- Stats now convert every expense into the group's currency using the exchange rate from the expense's date, instead of summing raw amounts across currencies.
- Balance amounts use the same date-accurate exchange rates as stats.
- The "this month" badge and monthly spending chart are hidden when all of a group's expenses fall in a single month.

Balance calculation fixes
- Fixed a sign error that made settled users still appear to owe money.
- Fixed settlements creating phantom debtors for people who never had any expenses.
- Balances now show the direct debt between each pair of people, with the contributing expenses listed, instead of a simplified route through a third person.
- Fixed EUR to SEK approximate conversions showing the wrong value.
